There’s a unspeakable serenity to escaping to one of the many towers lining the city of Tokyo and sitting high above it all watching over the bustle and chaos over a setting sun. It all looks so much calmer and quieter from such heights, a world that almost seems impossible, simply a figment, a model constructed from imagination.
As one can imagine though it’s quite a beautiful setting for a sunset, especially as the setting sun sets over Mt. Fuji off in the distance. Quite the romantic view if I may add, so much so that I’ve been enthralled by it as of late. I’ve spent some days on the way home from work heading towards towers and observatories that showcase these views. Unimaginably so they seem to be far quieter than I anticipated and more often than not free and readily available.
